Photoshop in-class thing. Cats!

Still haven't started homework...

Tried inking with an ACTUAL brush:

It's fun, but feels much more time consuming than if I had inked it with a crowquill or
one of those micron things.
I probably should've inked on something smoother too (inked straight on sketchbook paper).
Also experimenting with new ways of coloring and stuff :3 Yaay

huh

Tried inking with one of those brush pen things.

It's supposed to be Gambit.
I just drew him as I remembered him to be, which
is solely based on my rather distant memory of playing Marvel vs Capcom. I think.
I googled him after I saved the thing, and he actually has a head gear thingy, not a head band.
Plus his hair is a bit rougher. And I forgot to color the cigarette. Arghhhhh fail XP

Edit: Ok, I just redrew him.
I think this is a slightly more accurate rendition of Gambit.
Nice hot pink flash. His chest guard thing is pink, so I guess it's ok.

texture

Ok, finished the linework piece posted before:

Ta-da--- very purple!
I wasn't really in love with the linework to begin with, so I just colored it pretty roughly.
Turned out to be a much more "gothic/dark" looking piece than imagined.
It was all fluffy and pastel-y at first...

work work work

Homework for Monday's Photoshop ill class:
One finished color piece and a line drawing.

So here's the color piece...

It's a sailor outfit girl with sword on an asian dragon... in space...?(;´w`)
I just went crazy with this one since we didn't really have any theme or requirement for it.
The linework is pencil, which was such a butthole to do flats and stuff for...

And this is the line one. I just wanted to draw lace (´w`)

And this is from Illustration 2.
We got different magazine genres assigned (mine was men's magazines)
and had to do 5 spot illustrations suitable for the horoscope section of said mag.
So I went with a bunch of outfits for men. Couldn't think of anything else really...

From top to bottom / left to right:
Aries, Scorpio, Gemini, Leo, and Capricorn.
I kinda had more GQ, less Maxim in mind.
Prof. didn't really like it too much... but I'll post it anyway.

practice practice

Digital painting practice.
I love digital painting when other people do it, but I just really... kind of... not like it at all when I do it.
Hopefully I'll get better at it with more practice. Hopefully.
It was fun drawing hot model boys from magazines though, so it's all good.

more gouache

gouache fun

Flat-chested red superhero-esque girl...?
I decided to experiment with the gouache I bought today.
It's my first try at this stuff... I definitely love it more than the normal watercolor paint.
The scanner just really changed the colors A LOT so fixed it up a bit.

Yay

A lot of my art school friends had these art blog things,
so I succumbed to the peer pressure and got one mahself.
I probably will end up posting vigorously for the first week or so and then
just forget that it exists... but oh well.
