Sunny

I HATE BACKGROUNDS. At least with nature I can fudge bits and it won't really matter.

EPIC.

Lots of small but stressful things happening this week... I'm hoping April will be a better month. March was kind of lame.

Who Watches The Watchmen?

Spring break has been pretty great so far. I have been sleeping as much as I'd like, which makes me unbelievably happy.

Went to the St. Patrick's Day parade with cait o and alison on Sunday. Totally thought it was going to be a low key, bunch of local old people dressed as leprechauns kind of thing. I WAS WRONG. Quite epic actually. Assloads of Irish step dancing, bagpipes, marching bands, Irish Wolf Hounds, and of course, a parade float for Guinness.

Aaand to keep myself up to par with the geekdom that is the illustration department, I went to Towson to see the Watchmen movie. I'm one of those bastards who hasn't read the original graphic novel (shame, shame on me really) but I still enjoyed the movie lots. I will find it and read it. Also, MUST DO FANART.

Gwendolyn from Odin Sphere. Fan art is f-cking good fun.

YAY.

It is finally spring break... it will be filled with glorious amounts of sleep and mindless fanart doodlings!

Illustration Concepts homework. We chose objects from a pile that was selected by our teacher, and then basically did anything we wanted. My thing was an old perfume ad. Yay drawing girls!

Baba Yaga

Fantasy Art homework: 1 color, 2 b&w illustrations for a fairy tale. I decided to do Baba Yaga. Most everyone in the class did too, so we will be critiquing a lot of old hags and girls and houses with chicken legs.

... So I only have two so far. I still have lots of time to do a third one, but I don't know... kinda worn out and not really feeling my third sketch. Plus my printer ran out of ink. I'm going to think about it.

...Actually, I'm not going to make it sound like I might do it; I won't, and I'll just have to deal with having only two pieces. Merp.

Inspiring stuff #1

Since I have much work to do and no time to do personal tidbits, I'm going to share other people's work that I find inspiring and pretty.

Barnaby Ward! Cute girls and a fantastic sense of color. He has some great illustrations of Alice in Wonderland too. Blogger trims the images a bit weirdly, but you get the idea. Awesomeness.

Aaaaand Dwight.

Arael-XX

The angel Arael from Evangelion. I want all of the Angel-XX series.

Silence

Sailor Saturn. I was going to do Neptune and Uranus, but that was too much work.

Pink

Girly semi albino dragon. I would really like a full snow day since we haven't had one since freshman year, but I guess I only deserve a snow "hour or two". Blargh.
*EDIT* There is a god after all. FULL SNOW DAY. Thank you.
